I trained as a teacher, becoming a Headteacher and worked in primary schools for my first career. I am a proud mother and grandmother.
I am fascinated by the human experience, and how we can make sense of 'what life is all about'. I believe that we all want the best from our relationships with ourself and others. It's essential for our overall well-being. It's one of our most basic psychological needs.Sometimes our past experiences can get in the way of this. We can sometimes feel small, helpless and overwhelmed.
Talking therapy within a non judgemental relationship is a way of unpicking our patterns and habits to reveal a more healthier way forward. During my own personal therapy, I have experienced the powerful way this can work.
Mindfulness practice has become part of my life over the past 15 years. Research tells us how beneficial it can be for our mental health and well being.
In my practice, I use all of my life experiences to bring to my client work, to help make sense of issues and empower them to live a more fulfilled, happy life. I believe that the most basic and powerful way to connect with another person is to listen. I will give you my full attention.
